Navigating to Your Child’s Dashboard from the Home Screen
Parents can now access their child’s dashboard more easily from the home screen of the Onespot app. This feature is designed to simplify navigation and help parents stay regularly engaged with their child’s classroom activity. By making dashboards more prominent, the goal is to encourage more frequent check-ins and support stronger school-home connections.
🔍 What’s New
For Parents (Non-Admins):
You’ll now see your child(ren)’s photo(s) in the top right corner of your Onespot home screen.
- Tap the photo to go directly to their dashboard.
- If you have one child, you’ll see just their photo.
- If you have multiple children, two photos will be shown. Tapping (or hovering, if you're on the web) will reveal a dropdown to select among them.
For Parents Who Are Also App Admins:
You’ll still see the lightning bolt icon in the top right.
- To access your child’s dashboard, go to your profile as you did before.
💡 Why This Matters
This encourages higher parent engagement by making it quicker and easier to check in on what’s happening in the classroom. We hope this helps build a daily habit of involvement and strengthens the school-home connection.
