Sending Push Notifications

Keeping your community informed is crucial, and Onespot makes it easy to send out push notifications and emails to the right audience. The best way to do this is by creating custom notification groups and sending notifications to those specific groups.

How to Send a Push Notification:

  1. Create a Notification Group – Navigate to Lightning Groups and create a new group (e.g., Test Group).
  2. Enroll Members – Go to All Members, find your name, and add yourself to the Test Group.
  3. Send the Notification
    • Go back to the notification settings.
    • Scroll down to Limit Recipients and select the Test Group.
    • Compose your message and send the notification.

What Happens Next?

  • Members in the Test Group will receive a push notification directly to their phones.
  • The notification will also appear within the Onespot app, ensuring visibility.

Sending an Email Notification

If you also want to send an email in addition to a push notification:

  1. Go to the Admin Panel and select the Email Notifications section.
  2. Choose the Group or Individuals to receive the email.
  3. Compose the Email with the necessary information.
  4. Send it, and users will receive the email in their inbox.

By using custom notification groups, you ensure that messages are delivered only to the relevant audience, improving engagement and reducing unnecessary alerts. 🚀
