Step-by-Step Guide to Setting a Banner Message

Step 1: Open the Banner Message Settings

  1. Navigate to Admin Superpowers in your Onespot app.
  2. Go to Communications > Banner Message.
  3. Toggle the Banner Message setting to ON.

Step 2: Customize Your Banner

  1. Type your message in the provided text box.
  2. Use formatting tools to bold or style your text for better visibility.
  3. (Optional) Include an action button to link to a website, PDF, or specific in-app screen.

Step 3: Choose a Banner Color

  • Select a color that matches your branding or helps the message stand out.

Step 4: Save and Publish

  • Click Save, and the banner will instantly appear at the top of everyone’s app.
  • (Optional) You can choose to send a push notification along with the banner, but this is not required.

A banner message is a non-intrusive way to keep your community informed without overwhelming them with notifications. It ensures that important information is visible at all times, increasing engagement and awareness. Unlike push notifications, which can be dismissed, banners remain on the home screen, making them a reliable and persistent communication tool. 🚀
