Sharing Admin/Staff Privileges

Granting Admin Superpowers in Onespot

Sharing admin superpowers in Onespot allows you to delegate responsibilities, making app management more efficient. With admin privileges, selected users can send push notifications, manage groups, and edit app content, ensuring that important updates reach the right people without relying on a single administrator.

Step 1: Access the Admin Panel

  1. Navigate to Admin Superpowers (Lightning Bolt Icon).
  2. Click on All Members to view the list of users.

Step 2: Select a User

  1. Find the person you want to give admin privileges to (e.g., Taylor Swift).
  2. Click on their profile and scroll down to view admin options.

Step 3: Assign Admin Superpowers

  • Full Admin Access – Select all privileges, giving them the same abilities as the primary admin.
  • Limited Admin Access – Choose specific permissions, such as:
    • Sending push notifications
    • Editing user groups
    • Managing content

Step 4: Restrict Push Notifications (Optional)

  • If you only want them to send push notifications to specific groups, enable restrictions (e.g., only middle school parents).

Step 5: Save Changes

  • Changes are automatically saved, and the new admin does not need to take any extra steps.

Step 6: Admin Superpowers Activation

  • The next time the user opens their app, they will see a Lightning Bolt Icon in the top-right corner, granting them access to their admin controls.

Why Use This Feature?

Granting admin superpowers helps distribute responsibilities, allowing multiple people to manage notifications, content, and app settings without needing the primary admin's intervention. This ensures faster communication, improved efficiency, and better app oversight, keeping your school community connected at all times. 🚀
