Classroom Portals

A classroom portal in Onespot serves as a centralized hub for class directories, newsletters, schedules, and other essential resources. This feature enhances communication between teachers, students, and parents, fostering a more organized and collaborative learning environment.

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Classroom Portal

Step 1: Create a New Classroom Portal Screen

  1. Open your Onespot Admin Panel.
  2. Click on the Lightning Bolt Icon, then select New Screen.
  3. Scroll down and choose Classroom Portal as the screen type.
  4. Name your portal (e.g., Class 6).
  5. Select an icon to represent the class.

Step 2: Set Permissions (Optional)

  • Restrict access to specific users (e.g., only parents and students).
  • This ensures privacy and prevents unrelated users from viewing class-specific content.

Step 3: Add Classroom Content

  • Class Email Address: Include a contact email for the teacher or administrator.
  • Class Schedule (PDF Upload): Upload the weekly or monthly schedule.
  • Class Directory (Google Sheets): Link to a Google Sheet containing student or parent contact details.
  • Newsletters:
    • Add the latest class newsletters for parents and students.
    • Provide a section for past newsletters for easy reference.

Step 4: Finalize and Publish

  1. Click Create, and the classroom portal will be added to the app.
  2. Parents, students, and teachers can now access all classroom-related information in one place.

Why Use This Feature?

A classroom portal simplifies communication and resource sharing by providing a dedicated space for each class. It eliminates the need for multiple emails, printed schedules, and scattered updates, ensuring that everyone stays informed and engaged. 🚀
