Uploading a PDF to Your Onespot App & Adding It to a Custom Screen
Adding PDFs to your Onespot app allows you to share important documents like handbooks, schedules, newsletters, and forms with your community. You can either upload a standalone PDF screen or embed PDFs into a custom screen using a button. This flexibility ensures that parents, staff, and students can easily access essential resources directly from their mobile devices.
Method 1: Uploading a PDF as a Standalone Screen
Step 1: Navigate to the PDF Upload Section
- Open your Onespot Admin Panel.
- Click on New Screens, or go to the Lightning Bolt menu and select New Screen.
Step 2: Create a New PDF Screen
- Select Upload PDF as the screen type.
- Give your PDF a title (e.g., "School Handbook" or "Event Schedule").
Step 3: Upload Your PDF File
- Click Upload PDF and choose the document from your device.
- Select the file you want to upload (e.g., School App Checklist).
Step 4: Finalize and Save
- Once uploaded, click Create, and your PDF will be added to the app.
- Users can now view and download the document directly from their mobile devices.
Method 2: Adding a PDF to a Custom Screen
If you want to include a PDF within a custom screen, you can do so by adding a button that links to the document.
Step 1: Create or Edit a Custom Screen
- Open your Onespot Admin Panel.
- Navigate to the Custom Screens section.
Step 2: Add a PDF Button
- Click Add a Button within the custom screen editor.
- From the button options, select PDF.
- Click Upload PDF, then select the PDF file you want to attach.
- Click Done, then Save your changes.
Step 3: Publish and Test
- Once saved, users can click the button to open and view the PDF directly from the custom screen.
